i remember the good ol days of one rod carping where you you could sit comfortably in your swim without 60 rods flying across the lake allday and sometimes in your swim. i still love carp fishing but find its all gone fasion. kids now days shun float fishing even for carp. ive even had loads of rows and a couple of tear ups with ignorant selfish carp fisherman. ive even been asked to move swim cos i only had one rod and was told im selfish fishing in this big swim with one rod. slapped.lol

@drcarnage83 Aye there is a lake near me in the middle of the forest that belongs to our local fish club but not many people go there as it has no parking near it. The carp freely roam the surface without fear and i can sit for hours and watch them. Free lining crust/dog mixers on the surface still works a treat. Luckily it's a 10 min walk from my house so i just travel light 2 rods, minimal gear for stalking some bait and i'm sorted for the day.
