You need to get the Korda coated braid to make the hinge great rig I do the same just using 8lb fluorocarbon to a curved hook with shrink tube to create the c shape you talk of. I also try and keep the hair much shorter than yours to really push the hooking angle. Free line method rig works a treat. Just get chilli into your method mix

it looks like a good rig but I use this set up Hybrid hooklink and a longshank X hook if you have the Shrink tube a tad more aggressive, it flips over even faster |
