Nice video and great fish. Recently went to France for a week at Etang De Villaine. Was there for 5 nights and caght 24 fish and they were all over 20lb, eleven of them were over 30lb. Its a private 6 acre lake full night fishing and run by british carp angler stu and jan.. check it out w w w carpfishinginfrancesite . com

Oh wow - I just watched it again... they really do expect a burnt blob to hold a fish... God I expected more of a company like Fox. --- It just goes to show! (Really proving my other point about sales though).... poor show!

The burnt blob doesn't need to hold any weight (strain) whatsoever, only the bait. The strain of the fish goes straight through the mainline as usual. Although these are ridiculously overcomplicated. They've obviously been designed to sell as much terminal tackle as possible. The simpler the better - as with anything else. An in-line bolt-rig with some safety tubing, a swivel jammed into the bolt, covered with rubber is perfect. Tied at terminus with a knotless knot seems to suffice.
