Nice video and great fish. Recently went to France for a week at Etang De Villaine. Was there for 5 nights and caght 24 fish and they were all over 20lb, eleven of them were over 30lb. the best free running ledger rig i ever used is the simplest, start with a 2 oz lead on your mainline, followed by a bead, now tie a swivel onto your mainline, then tie your hooklink with whatever you want to use, i use a ready tied hair because im a lazy bugger ;)

Good videos matt I go fishing on bill berleys pools and I catch about 35 everytime I go and they r mostley 10 to 20 pounders

All hooks have a little gap in some cases but always a little join on the eye, where the small ring at the top of the hook (the eye) joins the hook, its the end of the loop/eye effectively. Anyway for anyone whos new to making hair rigs, be sure to start your turns round the shank of the hook on the other side and not the side of the join at the eye of the hook as your hooklink can come apart or break against the eyes join.

jessxxmurphy. the rig he has just done for the bottom bait is no diffrent do the same and then put a pop up on instead of a bottom bait. then add a small piece of rig putty to set the amount of up action,

i have just started carp fishing i like it alot i can do the rig but i get stuck on what to put on after it for example the weight to make it sink can any one send me a message or a video on how to do the weights part thanks

thanks alot i already knew how to do a knotless knot but you make it so easy and i have never used boileys i use pellets sweetcorn and spam is great for carp thanks for the tips *5 stars*
